GeoMono vs Ahrefs Brand Radar: how they differ and which suits whom (2026)

GeoMono and Ahrefs Brand Radar compared from their own pages: engines, Türkiye, where prompts come from, monthly or daily refresh, exports and who each suits.

By Published 7 min read

Key takeaways

  • Ahrefs Brand Radar builds its prompt index from Ahrefs' keyword data and Google's "People Also Ask"; custom prompts are written by you.
  • Ahrefs says its coverage is strongest in English; its pages do not state Turkish support for the chatbot index or custom prompts.
  • Brand Radar refreshes chatbot data monthly over a 90-day window; custom prompts run daily, weekly or monthly.
  • Brand Radar connects to Looker Studio, Google Sheets and the Ahrefs API; GeoMono delivers a PDF and an Excel file per report.
  • Brand Radar suits teams already in Ahrefs; GeoMono suits brands that sell in Türkiye and want Turkish questions without their name.

GeoMono and Ahrefs Brand Radar both show how a brand appears in AI answers, from opposite directions. GeoMono measures brands in Türkiye: it writes a fixed set of buyer questions in Turkish, without the brand's name, asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, and reports each engine monthly with every answer and its sources. Brand Radar, Ahrefs' AI visibility tool, starts from a large prompt index built from Ahrefs' keyword data, says its coverage is strongest in English, and refreshes chatbot data monthly over a 90-day window, with custom prompts available more often.

Everything said about Ahrefs below comes from Ahrefs' own product pages, help center and blog, read on 7 November 2026 and linked in the sources. We did not test Brand Radar hands-on. "Not stated" means Ahrefs' pages do not say, not that the feature is missing.

What Ahrefs Brand Radar offers, from its own pages

  • A prompt index from search data. Ahrefs' methodology page says the index models real user behaviour from its keyword database and Google's "People Also Ask", and that coverage is strongest in English, with non-English markets represented proportionally.
  • Monthly chatbot data. The same page says ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot are refreshed monthly with a 90-day reporting window.
  • Custom prompts. The custom prompts guide says tracked prompts can update monthly, weekly or daily, and are included in Lite and higher plans.
  • Turkey in AI Overviews data. An Ahrefs analysis of its AI Overviews database lists Turkey and Turkish among the countries and languages it holds. Its pages do not state Turkish support for the chatbot index or custom prompts.
  • Sentiment, share of voice, citations. Listed on the Brand Radar page, with competitors detected automatically.
  • Exports. CSV, Google Sheets, the API and a Looker Studio connector (help center).

What GeoMono does differently

  • Your questions, not an index. GeoMono measures the questions your buyers would ask, written with you in Turkish, rather than prompts derived from search volume.
  • The same questions every month. The set is fixed and versioned, so two months are compared on the same questions.
  • No brand name in the rate. A question that contains your name is left out of the visibility rate.
  • Failures written apart, namesakes filtered out. A failed answer is never counted as "not mentioned", and an answer about another company with your name does not count as you.
  • A report you can check. Each monthly report comes as a PDF and an Excel file, and every number opens down to the answers.

What GeoMono does not have

  • No SEO suite and no search-volume data.
  • No Copilot, Google AI Mode or Grok.
  • No daily option, no API, no Looker Studio connector.

Which one suits whom

  • Ahrefs Brand Radar says its index works best for established brands with meaningful search demand, and custom prompts suit lesser-known brands or uncommon queries. If your team already lives in Ahrefs and wants AI visibility beside its search data, that is what its pages describe.
  • GeoMono suits brands that sell in Türkiye, where search-volume data for Turkish AI prompts may be thin, and teams that want a fixed Turkish question set and a monthly report with the evidence behind each number.

Questions to ask either vendor in a demo

Whichever you are leaning towards, put the same five questions to Ahrefs Brand Radar and to us.

  1. Can I see the full question list before the first measurement? A rate is only as good as the questions behind it. Ask whether the list stays fixed between periods, so that a change in the rate is a change in the answers and not in the questions.
  2. Which questions contain my brand's name, and are they in the rate? An engine asked about a brand by name will name it. Those answers show how you are described, not whether you are chosen.
  3. In which language, and from which location, is each question asked? For a brand that sells in Türkiye, an answer to an English question can name different brands from an answer to the same question in Turkish.
  4. What happens when an engine fails to answer? Ask how many questions were planned and how many were measured, and whether a failure can ever show up as "not mentioned".
  5. Can I open the answer behind any number? A rate you cannot trace back to answers and sources is hard to act on.

Can you use both?

Yes. You can use a tool such as Ahrefs Brand Radar for wider tracking and GeoMono for a monthly report on the Turkish questions your buyers ask. If you do, compare each tool's number only with its own history. The questions, engines and counting rules differ, so the two rates will not match, and neither is wrong for that reason. Why this happens is explained in why AI visibility tools give different results.

The limits of this comparison

This page compares what each vendor publishes about itself, not results we measured with both tools side by side. Product pages change often; we read these on 7 November 2026 and will update this page when they change. If you work at Ahrefs and something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it. Prices are left out on purpose: plans change, and they are rarely comparable like for like. GeoMono is our own product, so treat the GeoMono column as the vendor's own description too, and check it against the published method.
