Competitors and your own domains
Updated:
In Brand Settings you define your competitors, your group's other sites, your portfolio names and the engines measured; the manager role changes these fields.
In this article
The Settings (Ayarlar) section of a brand's workspace contains the "Brand Settings" ("Marka Ayarları") screen. This is where you decide what the measurement treats as a competitor and what it treats as yours.
Competitor Tracking
Competitor Tracking (Rakip Takibi) is where you enter the domains of the competitors you want to track. Up to 5 competitor domains can be saved.
The report's "Who is mentioned instead of you?" ("Sizin yerinize kim anılıyor?") section is not limited to this list, however: it shows the brands mentioned most often in the answers. A name you see there may not be a direct competitor of yours; it may be a marketplace, a comparison site or an institution.
Your Own Properties
Your Own Properties (Kendi Mülkleriniz) is where you enter your other sites belonging to the same group, up to 20 domains. In the report these sites are not counted among the "sources shown instead of you": your own product site will not appear to you as a competitor. If you add a domain from the competitor list here, it is removed from the competitor list.
Portfolio Names
Portfolio Names (Portföy Adları) are names that belong to you but are not this brand itself: the parent company, sister products, special formats. Questions containing one of these names are excluded from the visibility measurement. We explain why in Questions with and without your name.
Measured engines
The Measured engines (Ölçülen motorlar) field is where you choose which AI engines the brand will be measured with. A brand without its own list is measured with the platform's default list. A change takes effect from the next measurement; it does not change a published report.
Who can change these?
Saving any of these fields requires the manager role or higher. A user with a lower role may be able to see some of the fields, but when they try to save, the change is not saved. For roles, see Signing in and roles.
